Pre-conference Training Courses

Take a Docker Official Training course at a special rate only offered to DockerCon attendees. Each consists of two days of instruction and hands-on exercises. Training is in addition to the Conference Pass.

Docker Fundamentals: $1,095

This is THE introductory Docker course to give your team the best foundation for enterprise grade Docker use-cases.

Docker for Enterprise Developers: $1,495

As the follow-on to our Docker Fundamentals course, Docker for Enterprise Developers is a role-based course designed for an organization’s Development and DevOps teams to accelerate their Docker journey in the enterprise.

What is DockerCon 2018?

DockerCon 2018 is a three day, Docker-centric conference that is organized by Docker, Inc. We will begin Monday afternoon with 3-hour paid workshops followed by the Welcome Reception in the Ecosystem Expo. The conference will take place Tuesday-Thursday. Building on the success of the previous events, DockerCon continues to grow to reflect Docker’s thriving ecosystem and container community. While we want to preserve the ambiance and simplicity of previous editions, this conference will be by far the largest DockerCon event to date.

Do I need to wear my badge during the entirety of the conference?

Yes, your badge is required for entry into the conference and party. Please note that you will be asked for valid photo identification (valid
driver’s license, passport etc.) at the conference registration before you receive your badge.

Where do I pick up my badge?

Please pick up your badge at the DockerCon registration area at the Moscone West Conference Center. For security purposes, please be ready to show valid identification.

What are the substitution and cancellation policies for DockerCon 2018?

A 100% refund will be given if notice of cancellation is received in writing by the close of business on May 15, 2018. Cancellations received
after May 15 but before June 1 will receive a full refund minus a $250 processing fee. No refunds will be given for cancellations received after June 1, 2018. In the case of cancelling a registration for the purpose of signing up again under a special offer code, a $150 processing fee will be charged to the registration for this change. An employee of the same company may be substituted at no additional fee by end of day June 10, 2018. After June 10 no transfers will be allowed.

Can you help with a visa invitation letter?

In order to request a visa letter from the DockerCon team, please send an email to and provide the following information:

  • Full name on passport

  • Are you a Government Official [Yes, No]

Visa invitation letters will be submitted for approval for those attendees that have requested a visa invite letter and have completed registration for a full conference pass including payment. We can only issue visa letters for fully paid attendees and you will need to allow 2-3 weeks’ time for your embassy to process your request. Visa letter request will not be accepted after June 1, 2018.

How do I book a hotel room for DockerCon 2018?

Docker has contracted discounted rates for hotels within easy walking distance of the Moscone Convention Center. Reservations are on a first come, first served basis and must be secured by May 18, 2018.

    • The museum is located across the street from Moscone Center. The caregivers will take the children to the museum for a couple of hours and then for a ride on the carousel.
    • Cost: $15.95
  • Thursday, June 14 | Exploratorium
    • The Exploratorium is 1.6 miles from Moscone Center. The caregivers will take the bus to/from the museum and spend a couple of hours exploring.
    • Cost: $22.50


  • All caregivers have had the following: Criminal Background Checks, FBI fingerprinting, are scrutinized through references, and go through a 90-day trial period so we can assess their true abilities with children.
  • They are professional and prepared with CPR/First Aid training.


  • Our check in and out procedures keep each child safe. Parents check their child in and fill out the registration form for persons allowed to pick up the child.
  • Parents receive a card with their child’s name on it and can pick up their child once they present the card.
  • No other persons are allowed to remove the child from the room for any reason without direct parental permission made in advance.

If you’ve joined Spousetivities before, then you know all about the fun, friendships, and everything that comes with the program. If you’ve never joined Spousetivities, or if you aren’t sure what Spousetivities is, then read on!

Who can attend Spousetivities?

Anyone! While this program was originally targeted at the spouses of the conference attendees, now anyone traveling with a conference attendee is welcome to join us. Parents, spouses, domestic partners, significant others–all are welcome. Yes, children are welcome, too! Each day hosts a new activity including transportation.
